The class will focus on in-depth research techniques for finding military, probate, immigration and vital records in the United States. You’ll learn how to find cousins you did not even know you had which could lead to new information for your family tree. Your instructor will help you break down one of your brick walls and you’ll learn the techniques used to break down, not only your brick wall, but those of your fellow students. Finally, you will learn how to prepare for visits to various repositories. A short discussion on DNA testing is included in this class. This intermediate class is designed for students who have taken Genealogy - Just the Beginning or have some knowledge of genealogy research.
