Preserve your family’s history by learning how to research your ancestors and build a family tree for future generations. The first week will include how to begin your research, tips on identifying old photos, what census records have and don’t have, and various genealogy websites. The second week will focus on websites for researching your ancestors’ particular states. Learn about various genealogy programs that can help you build and document your family tree. This class is designed for research in the United States. The instructor can also suggest various websites to further your research of other countries. At the completion of this course you should be able to complete a family tree of five generations.
